Destiny – Beginning to Chip Away at my Quest Logs

PVP last night with my new pulse rifle was a bit easier than the hand cannon and I managed to win 2 out of the 3 matches with my last match being dreadfully embarrassing. The rest of the night was dedicated to me looking through unfinished quests in my logs. One of them I’ll check out tonight is this quest where I have to play that Rise of Iron game mode that’s comparable to Call of Duty’s “Kill Confirmed”; that should be a blast as long as I have my nerves of steel and patience. There are other quests I’d like to complete as well, most of them being Taken King and Rise of Iron quests; may as well since Destiny 2 will be dropping this fall (so they say).

Destiny – PVP, Just For Me

PVP is something, in any game, I like torturing myself with. As a matter of fact, the highlight of the last few matches that I had in PVP Destiny was witnessing my 2 teammates, completely oblivious to the guy that was behind them, get smacked to the ground by said guy. All jokes aside, this first round I did decent. Ranging from 0.80 kd to one match where i went positive with a 1.00 kd, I say I did alright for having a handcannon. Hand cannons need headshots, and I need to work on my headshots.

After the matches, I found a pulse rifle that was more powerful than the hand cannon. Maybe tomorrow I will have some better luck. I did make it one light level higher than I started with (326 light to 327 light). Here’s to the road to 400 (hopefully).

Destiny[‘s Child]

Being a fan of MMO games like World of Warcraft, when I saw Destiny for the first time on the Xbox 360, I thought it was badass. Sure it has its share of flaws but regardless I had a blast with it. I now play it on my PS4 and plan to try and at least max out 3 of the main classes to level 40 and hopefully reach 400 with at least one account (probably my warlock).

The problem most people have with Destiny is how grindy the game can get towards end game. Some people say the game lacks a story, and although I do agree, it doesn’t bother me so much since I feel the actual gameplay mechanics and environment is on point. It’s always a fun time going from planet to planet destroying whatever threat is in my way. Plus with the blend of PVE and PVP, I can go from saving the solar system to competing with the best of the best of the best at any time.

I hope Destiny 2 lives up to the hype. It would be a shame if the game falls flat on its face, but at least I can always fall back on 1 if that ever does happen (hopefully). I’ll post more on my progress as time goes by; got tons of strikes, raids and pvp to destroy until Destiny 2.
